VOLUME and Human Resources are pleased to announce a pop-up exhibition by Oakland-based artist Elsa Trash. Unofficially in residence at Human Resources for the past two and half weeks, Trash will present new found-object sculptures, multi-media drawings, and video art alongside a site-specific interactive video installation. A member of queer noise/hardcore band Inverts who also records under the name Pain Wife, Trash’s exhibition showcases the artist’s remarkable visual aesthetic, transmuting refuse and recordings of on-site performances into an immersive and participatory experience.

The exhibition will take place on the 2nd floor of Human Resources and is not accessible to users of wheelchairs and other accessibility devices. Elsa’s one-day exhibition will be up on the last day of Cosm, Organization-Construction, Second Instance, an exhibition of new work by Anja Weiser Flower featuring an interactive four-channel sound installation by Stephanie Cheng Smith which is wheelchair-accessible.
